International Yoga Day
Theres only one traditional Sun salutation and theres a reason behind.
Last year in India, this was the only surya namaskar that has been approved.
Yoga is the stillness in the mind so whenever you do a flow or you focus in the movement the meditation doesn´t appear. There has to be a stillness and stability inside a posture so that Yoga actually works.
There are 12 mantras that have to be said in each pause when entering a posture, so there are 12 steps to practice the sun salutation.
So, the activity in this day (or whenever you want to try) will be to just perform 12 sun salutations towards the sunset and repeat one mantra in step 1 (hands- palms together in front of your chest).
